Just as CAR Online has launched its Green cars section so the government has stepped up its ‘Act on CO2’ campaign. Earlier this week, at the SMMT (Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders Ltd) HQ in London, Transport Minister Jim Fitzpatrick unveiled the Department of Transport’s online ‘Best on CO2’ car rankings. The new website - www.dft.gov.uk/ActOnCO2 - lists all the cars on sale.
THE BATTLE for hearts and minds in the city has just got hotter with the launch of Citroen’s second generation C1 urban runabout. Although the diminutive French hatch shares much with its Peugeot 108 and Toyota Aygo stablemates, the C1’s bold new exterior look shares more with recent arrivals such as the firm’s new Picasso people carrier. For the first time in five years, SEMA released its updated 50-state guide to help street-rod, custom-kit and replica-car owners register them. Known as the Tag and Title Toolbox, SEMA's updated database has the administrative forms and proper terms needed when working with each state's motor-vehicle department. The paperwork for each state is compiled and organized, with hobby-related words highlighted for quick reference.
